Get to Know Us
Plano Retired Teachers Association was chartered in 1974 and celebrated 50 years of service this year. PRTA is dedicated to supporting education and improving the well-being of its retirees and is an affiliate of TRTA, Texas Retired Teachers Association, and supports the aims of TRTA - which advocates improved benefits for all education retirees. TRTA is the voice for all public education retirees. It lobbies for us and monitors the legislature for proposals to protect and improve our retirement security and health care.
